Lub-Swish-Dub - Charity Children's Picture Book

Looking for funding for Christmas 2020.

Lub-Swish-Dub is a magical story, written to help children deal with the anxiety of hospital visits.

Isla is a little girl with a special heart whose best friend in the whole wide world is a teddy called Brown Bear. Isla has to go to hospital and is looking forward to having ice cream, once her heart scan is over. But Brown Bear just can’t wait and sneaks off to find the hospital café and a whole world of adventure.

Lub-swish-Dub is a children's picture book aimed at children aged 7 and under. It has been written to help children cope with the anxiety of hospital visits and learn that hospitals aren't scary places.  There are lot's a books about visits to hospital due to accidents and emergencies but few about going for scans and consultations. This book aims to bridge that gap.  The story was inspired by my families experiences of taking our daughter for heart scans as we could not find any books that dealt with this issue. 

We have already distributed 100 copies of the book through hospitals and schools across the UK. 

I am now in the process of raising funds to get a another 1000 books printed which will be distributed through the charity Read For Good who will be giving copies to hospitals across the country. Copies will also be given to nursery schools in Derbyshire.

The money raised will be spent of printing costs for the 1000 copies of the book and postage and packaging costs to distribute. The more money we can raise the more books we can get printed!
