Support for the Tharp/Krusz Family

It is with a regretful heart that I am forced to do this. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not usually one to ask for help, but I am desperate, and am in need of help. My name is Cortney, I am a US Navy Veteran, and a divorced father to 9 kids.  The eldest three kids are out of the house, but 6 still live with me at home. I also live with my girlfriend Heather, and her son Charlie.

My youngest daughter, Charity, is special needs, and will need direct attention/therapy her whole life. She was receiving Social Security at one point, but that stopped about a year ago, and I have been having multiple issues with trying to get her SSI reinstated. As such, we have racked up multiple doctors bills,

Last year, I was laid off from a company after 10 years of service to them.  I then took a job making half as much as I was, barely making ends meet. Then, in April of this year, the company I was with lost its contract and they were forced to release me. I am in the process of trying to find another job, but the going is slow.
Because of my job training at the time, Heather quit her job so she could be a stay at home mom and help take care of Charity and her special needs. This further reduced our income, but we managed to survive on the single income up through the school year. Now that the school year is over, she would like to get back into the work force, and is also currently looking for a job.

That brings us to today. Any savings we had has since been depleted, I've sold personal belongings to help pay rent in the past, but that too has run out. We are in desperate need of help, and as much as it pains me to do so, I created this Gofundme out of desperation.

We are in need of basic living expenses. I am half a month behind in rent, and have no idea where next months rent (due June 1) will come from.
May Rent $700
June Rent $1400

My daughter Charity is special needs, and requires a special diet, which costs about $100/week.
4 weeks of Charity food: $400

Food for the rest of the family: $200/wk
4 weeks of Family food: $800

All utilities are past due and are pending shutoffs:
May Water: $100
June Water: $100
Past due Electric $400
Phone $100

Heather is also a licensed General Class Falconer, and is in the process of raising a 6 month old Barn Owl, and a 5 month old Great Horned Owl, as well as maintianing her 3 year old Red Tailed Hawk. We have to order their food online, and cost about $250/month.
Heather lost her car last fall, and is in need of a new vehicle in order to get to job interviews. Any extra money raised will go towards the purchase of a reliable vehicle for her and possible relocation expenses.

When Charity was born, the Dr's were unable to diagnose her with any known syndrome. Closest thing they could come up with was VATER. While she does have some of the sysmptoms, the Dr's have since unclassified her from that. Her exact diagnosis remains unknown.

Thank you to everyone who is able to contribute and help us out during our time of need. We are going through a very stressful time, and it is taking a toll on our family. All we can ask is that you do whatever you can, as you see fit. To those who are unable to contribute, please share our story with others, help us spread the word. God Bless!
