Hello! We are the Worrells (Jorell and Shayna Worrell) and We are raising funds for ourselves to recover great loss that we experienced Thanksgiving night of 2024. As we were heading to a colleagues house to serve food we prepared, our lives would never be the same as about 45 minutes into an hour of our commute our recently just paid off, 2013 Toyota FJ cruiser caught on fire suddenly about 2 miles away from our destination. As we were driving up a hill on a snowy night, Two good Samaritans ran up to us saying "Get out your car is on fire!" as we were shocked and shaken with fear, we exited the vehicle quickly, & within about 20 minutes our vehicle was totally engulfed with fire and flames. As we are processing that traumatic experience and are super grateful to be alive, we decided to reach out for help to assist us in recovering the total loss of our vehicle and the many belongings that were in it (as we are currently away from our home state and had many of our personal items in the car) such as sneakers, clothes, purse, wallet including driver's license, money, important documents, a karaoke machine, tools, and misc items). This past few months have been tough with both of us getting Covid, Shayna getting hospitalized with pneumonia, Jorell also having acute bronchitis, we decided to reach out. After calling our insurance company to we to file the claim, unfortunately there had been a gross miscommunication between us and the company because we thought our policy was a comprehensive policy but we found out to our surprise it was collision only and our vehicle & belongings could not be recovered. Those who know us, know we are givers and are usually on the other side of the donation, however, we decided to reach out for help and ask our community for a helping hand. All funds received will go toward a new vehicle and restoring what was lost. God bless!
