Thank You Nurses Of The ER

My wife works at St. Luke's ER in Utica NY.  I have watched her and all of her peers work tirelessly during the pandemic and with this current spike, they are working their butts off.  With the preexisting nursing shortage coupled with many nurses contracting COVID-19, they are working all the overtime they can to keep up. 

This latest spike has them working at 110%.  Just ask any of the nurses working there and they are just tired, but ever committed. 

I thought maybe it would be a nice thing if we as a community gave them a token of our appreciation and bought them gift certificates to a local spa where they can relax for a while, get a massage, pedicure, etc. and forget the pressure for a while.

I had my wife look into how many full-time ER nurses there are employed by St. Luke's (a somewhat fluid number right now) and she currently has the count at 43.

If we can raise $2,150, then we can do this.

If we could go above $2,150 then maybe we could also include many of the nurse techs/assistants too who are also working extremely hard.  If we can raise even more, then maybe we can also include other hospitals like St. Elizabeth's.
