About the Fundraiser
In an effort to honor the legacy of Governor Zell Miller, former HOPE scholarship recipients and the inaugural class of the Miller Leadership Academy Class have launched a campaign to raise funds for the Miller Institute Foundation. As Governor Miller provided a foundation of educational success for each of us, we wish to demonstrate our gratitude by eliminating any financial barriers to cultivating Georgia’s next generation of visionaries, public servants, and community leaders. Specifically, money raised through this campaign will fund Leadership Academy scholarships for future leadership classes. The program aims to prepare young professionals for successful careers in public service with a bipartisan approach. Five summits held across Georgia focus on three core elements: leadership, government, and policy.
Focusing on Georgia’s next generation was a pillar of Governor Miller’s public service. We are engaging with current and former HOPE recipients, and all who have benefitted from Georgia's Pre-Kindergarten program, to endeavor with us. If you have received the HOPE scholarship, a Baby Mozart CD, attended Georgia’s Pre-Kindergarten program, and/or have a loved one who has benefitted from either of these, we ask you to say "thank you!" to Governor Miller with a tax-deductible donation to the Miller Institute Foundation as a demonstration of your shared appreciation. With your gift, the eternal flame of hope for the next generation of Georgia’s leaders will be fanned anew.
