I am Back to school Now have just begun the first week of 8th GRADE -- & Am looking forward to paving hte way towards my future career at NASA.

Hi, my name is Thando Nkala - Sarr ,I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I recently just finished the 7th grade and I am on my way to the 8th grade in the upcoming school year.
Please watch & listen to my video so I can explain to you why I need your help to get me to this year's Space Academy at one of NASA's Space Centers located in Huntsville AL.
I am going to be a Astronautical Engineer.
Astronautical Engineers work with different air-crafts and equipment that go beyond our atmosphere such as satellites, missiles, rockets and systems for national defense.
Astronautical Engineers design, develop and test these different air-crafts To be an astronautical Engineer you have to have a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering and applied science.
Even though I can not just walk into this career I am doing to focus my academic career on the STEM system.
S-T-E-M stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. I enjoy and love all these things especially math, which after God and my family I pretty much live and breath math.
I enjoy solving and figuring out complex equations. doing Algebra and geometry so anything that has to do with numbers and numerical formulas.
As my Mom says math is useless unless you can use it in the real world. I believe I can do something important in the future. I can also apply my math and science know - how to help to discover and solve problems about our world and whats around us.
Space camp is an exciting, week long adventure that is both educational and exhilarating.
The program incorporates real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and math education. Trainees prepare to become the new generation of lunar explorers, with hands-on activities that place them in the role of spacecraft designers/mission controllers and astronauts. I will get to take a simulated walk on the moon in the 1/6 gravity chair and gain understanding of what it's like to work in a friction-less environment in the manned maneuvering unit .
We will get to build and launch a two-stage model rocket and gain teamwork and management skills at Area 51, the leadership reaction course.
Through it all we will be equipped with modern space-flight knowledge as we prepare to be future space pioneers.

I sat down with my parents to work out some of the cost... here is a basic breakdown below...

$350.00 For Flights
$700.00 for Accommodation

I am planning to contribute $200 that I have been saving up towards this cost. My parents have also agreed to pay 1/3 of the total cost, which still leaves roughly $1,500 for me to raise.
