Thames Valley Partnership Funding

Coast to Coast 3 Different Ways!

This year I teamed  up with a fantastic cycling team, made up of the famous Bob and Julie Gregory (who infamously cycled to Japan for the rugby world cup!) and also Chris Fallon.  They are all experienced cyclists  and we have joined forces to raise money for the  the amazing charity Thames Valley Partnership .  Do you want to join us  in making a difference?

We have already completed the Welsh and English Coast to Coast Challenge and next year (providing my ankles and knees hold up following surgery this year!) we will tackle the big one ....... John ‘Groats to Lands End (JOGLE). To date, through my original fundraising page at  Virgin Giving, we have raised  over £2K  (Virgin Money Giving is sadly closing in November  - therefore those funds have already been transferred to the Partnership bank  acct.  and are therefore annoyingly not showing on this new fundraising  page!!  Be assured I have not cycled off into the distance with the funds and money is already being put to good use at the Partnership!!

As CEO of the  Partnership I can assure you that every single donation will help support the valuable work we do. Thank you in advance for your contribution - this means so much to me and more importantly will help transform the lives of those who we support through our services.

Who are Thames Valley Partnership  ? What do we do?
We are an established charity based in the Thames Valley providing front line services to those whose lives are impacted by crime - victims, offenders and their families. We also work strategically behind the scenes to embed good practice, share knowledge and learning and to drive positive change for the better. Across our various programmes, we offer everything from advocacy, mentoring, restorative approaches and emotional support to practical support and crisis intervention. This includes a range of interventions for young people who may benefit from a timely support when they are struggling and need a little guidance.

Why do we need our help?
The number of people needing our help far outweighs the number of staff and volunteers we have available to support! Many charities such as ours struggle to secure regular funding, particularly for back office functions, that are absolutely necessary but that no-one sees! We have a really small core team managing and supporting our seven services and therefore funding, to ensure the services are able to continue to run efficiently, is a an ongoing battle for us. The work we do is challenging and deals with really complex issues and sometimes people find it hard to understand exactly what we do!

What your money could buy – (the list is endless but a small flavour)
For victims – emergency provisions, alarms, food packages, toys, toiletries and Christmas gifts for people fleeing from violence and modern slavery, peer support and ongoing bespoke solutions.

For young people - help us to provide positive interventions for them when they risk getting themselves into difficult situations - through restorative practices, mentoring or other diversions.

For offenders – a COVID safe means to collect on release, provision of a care package including clothes, shoes and toiletries, emergency housing, support for their families and children.

For the office – The ability to answer calls for help whenever someone needs us, help to make the workplace COVID safe and support to return to normality and ensure our services can be delivered in the best way for the client. Provision of alarms and devices to enable people to feel safe and access 24/7 support. Just keeping the charity up and running and able to support so many people!

We are so grateful for your support which will enable us to keep offering our services and will help to sustain our charity. Please remember, that your gift, however large or small will make a different TODAY!
