Thailand Therapy Abroad AAC Trip

I currently am a Communication Sciences and Disorders major and I plan to pursue a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, specifically working with children.
I've been accepted to a Therapy Abroad program in Thailand based on my references, academic record, and interest in serving on a global scale and learning material that is typically not accessible to undergrads. I’m very excited about this opportunity as it combines two of my interests; speech therapy and Asia. The cost of tuition is higher than I can afford on my own, so I’m asking for your help to send me to Thailand and make my dream come true!
Therapy Abroad is a summer four-week program intended for undergraduate students interested in speech-language pathology or audiology. I’ll be attending the Communication Sciences & Disorders Program in Bangkok, Thailand. We would have the opportunity to work with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologists (SLPs) specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) assessment and intervention. AAC is remarkable, yet often portrayed as an intimidating field of study because students, and even some professionals, may have limited to no experience with children with complex communication needs such as cerebral palsy. This program would give me the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from professionals in this field, all while aiding and providing AAC services to children who have never had the chance to communicate with the world around them.
Thailand has little to no COVID-19 cases, and due to this, we will be quarantined for the first 2 weeks of the program, taking classes to prepare for the rest of the program. Once the quarantine period is over, we will be able to roam freely with few restrictions on our clinical work, giving me a chance to have a lot of hands-on experience. These few restrictions are almost unheard of in the United States right now, giving me a glimpse into clinical work post COVID-19.
Although this is an amazing program, I am unable to attend without the help of others. As a college student who is also planning to pay for graduate school next year, I do not have the means to pay for this on my own. Once I raise the funds for the trip, there are no additional charges that I will need to pay for. This type of experience is one that does not come around often, and because of this I am determined to go. I want to serve the global community doing something I am very passionate about and plan to do as a career in the near future. Any help is greatly appreciated!
