Hi! I am Peyton Goza, Mckenzi’s sister. As many know, Kenz was pregnant and has been having some complications. Thad was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, also known as Edwards syndrome—a rare genetic condition where a baby has an extra copy of chromosome 18. This causes severe medical and developmental challenges, and most babies with Trisomy 18 don’t survive long after birth. His life was spent safely in his mama’s womb. Kenzi delivered her precious stillborn baby boy, Thad, at just 25 weeks on Sunday June 1st. Though his life was brief, the love we have for him is endless, and he will forever be a part of our hearts and family. As Kenzi navigates the unimaginable grief of losing her son, she is also facing overwhelming medical bills, travel expenses, and other unexpected costs.
