Thadd Tweet - Living Life

Thadd Tweet is a 49 year old husband, father, friend, brother, and son. His faith falls bright and heavy on the Lord. He has been handed a terminal diagnosis of stage 4 rectal cancer with metastases in the liver. His attitude and perspective are bright, but his prognosis is less so: 6 months to 2 years.

Whew. That's hard to hear, read, and say. But what that prognosis does not say is this - we choose life! What kind of life? As healthy and long a life as the Lord will allow. Now, we have and will continue to ask for God's divine healing; we would be so thankful for that answer. If, however, He has another plan, we are choosing to pursue health and healing through nutrition and natural healing (yes, that means an holistic approach to nutrition and essential oils). We are just beginning to assemble a team to help us along this part of the journey. And we will continue to embrace our family time as much as we can.

Thadd's immediate family is his wife of 21 years, Sharon, and their two sons, Isaiah 19 and Elijah 16. His extended family is a gift and support that we are beyond grateful for. Our life has been simple, with Thadd providing for our family through working outside the home while Sharon homeschools the boys (one now graduated and one in high school) and pursues writing as an indie author. Isaiah is working full-time and has just moved into his first apartment. Elijah's passion is for tournament archery, art, and computers. We aren't fancy or extravagant or flashy. As a result, this reality we find ourselves in has some pretty far-reaching financial ramifications as we contemplate natural approaches to health and healing (and, if need be, palliate medical care), and things I can't even contemplate.

Asking for financial assistance does NOT come easy. We are humbled by the generosity shown to us in so many ways, and "Thank You" seems grossly insufficient. The variety of ways we are shown support continues to bring me (Sharon) to tears of gratitude on a regular basis. I know I will never be able to say thank you enough. Lord willing, I will be able to pay it forward somehow. For this page, for this purpose, we thank your for considering a financial donation; and we thank you for your prayers. If you haven't already, please follow our journey on Thadd's CaringBridge page. And as you walk forward in your journey of life, #LoveOnPurpose and #LiveYourFaithBoldly. #Discover what God has for you today.
