This summer we lost a valuable Team member to cancer with the passing of our Safety Director, James “JJ” Jones. In addition to his value to our Team, JJ was a great personal friend and mentor. His spirit and love for God, family and friends will always be in our hearts when we think of him.
JJ had many passions in his life that extended beyond his family and friends that included both providing meals for needing families and automobiles. With this we are putting together a fund to support the continuation of his legacy.
The first step is purchasing JJ’s 1969 Camaro from his life-long wife, Virginia for her to use the funds to support their charitable missions. Once purchased we are donating the Camaro to the charity Laughs for the Troops for them to complete and use as a fund raiser to support American Veterans with PTSD and brain damage.
This charity has been established to help with healing our Troops through humor, but also assists families who need financial help once their soldiers, Marines, airmen and sailors return from combat and work to heal-physically and mentally. With the majority of the work completed on the car, this will help Virginia raise nearly $60,000 towards funding her missions. In addition, it will also save Laughs for the Troops time and money to complete. At this time we are asking for donations from our friends to support the purchase of the car.
We know that JJ would be very proud to see his dream completed, driving on the road and supporting those in need. We are very blessed to have had such a great man impact our lives and to have such supportive friends.
