Funeral expenses

Hello y'all,

For those that knew Velvet have a pretty good idea of her selfless acts and love that she had for just about anyone. For those that didn't know her, I hate that you missed the opportunity to meet an amazing woman. Velvet loved life and her sweet family who made her life so much fun. She talked about her grandbabies about 90% of the time. She was ALWAYS doing something for someone else. I have witnessed her using her own money to help patients out when we worked together at Baptist. She went above and beyond to care for her patients, even those that were not the friendliest. She had a way with people and could always make them feel special. She was truly an angel on earth. Unfortunately, God decided that her presence on earth was over and her duties had been fulfilled and took her home to be with him. With this sudden tragic loss also comes a financial constraint for the family. See, back in the late fall/early winter, Velvet left Baptist for a "better opportunity" that ended in her being let go after an acute injury. She lost her benefits amd unfortunately life insurance was one of those. As a community, I believe we should take care of our own when tragic events like this happen. I am hoping to raise some money to help Roy, Emilee, and Mindy provide the appropriate arrangements for this beautiful soul. She was someone that ALWAYS gave to others, even if it was her last dollar. Now, it is time to pay it forward to her family in a desperate and devastating time.
