There are so many ways to describe this champion of a woman. Daughter, sister, momma, nana, bama, wela. She was strong, brave, beautiful, the life of the room. She poured her heart and soul into her babies and grandbabies. She took on the roll of mother and father, working relentlessly raising four children on her own. Rosa always brought a fire to every thing/person/event she encountered, she leaves behind a legacy from the passion and commitment she displayed towards all her family and children especially. We were all lucky to have been in her life, a life taken too soon.

My name is Athena Oliveri, I am the fiance to Mike Medina, Rosa Medina's oldest son. I am also the mother of two of Rosa's grandchildren, Hendrix and Payton. This campaign was started, with the permission of Rosa's immediate family, in order to raise funds to cover the funeral expenses and to provide financial relief to her 4 children and their families, including covering extra associated costs (time off from work, vessels for the ashes, etc.) The money has been given from myself directly to her 4 children, Mike, Tony, Daniel, and DanaRose.
