Helping Others

My name is Libby and I am a qualified counsellor - my trading name is
Plan B Counselling.

In 2014 I became sick with M.E (Myalgic Encephalomylitis), at that timeI didn't know what it was and didn't realise how sick I would become,
I continued to study and volunteer but it became too physically draining for me, my condition worsened.

I still had a dream to be able to help people somehow - I realised
working for myself could give me the balance I needed to do fulfill this.
I wanted to provide affordable talking therapies to people who could
not leave their house to access therapy - Plan B Counselling was
conceived to provide email, phone and skype counselling.

M.E can cause:
Crushing fatigue, pain, cognitive problems, sensitivities to sound and light, weakness of the muscles, blood pressure and heart rate issues, immune and neurological problems and more - making it very difficult for a person to function fully in their own life.

People with m.e suffer grief and anxiety from losing their: Health, social life, relationships, friendships and independence.  Such loss can cause mental health challenges. I know because I have experienced it and sought help.

I want to offer discounted counselling to people suffering from chronic health problems, to do so I would like to raise money to cover my running costs and equipment.

The things I am asking help for this year are:
* cost of running the business,
* equipment,
* supervision.

I had a dream to help other people like me - I would be really grateful if you could help by donating whatever you can afford.

If I exceed my target, the remainder of the money would be donated to an m.e charity. If I need less supervision for example, the remainder will be sent to an m.e charity.

This year my chosen charity will be The M.E association.
