My cousin Jackie recently found out she needs emergency surgery on both of her eyes, due to retinal detachment.
I am starting a fund for her because she's a single mother of three girls and she absolutely cannot do this by herself! The specialists in town are outside of her insurance network and she will need help paying for several things:
1. She will need to pay for the surgery's deductible (could cost her up to $3,000).
2. She will have to recover for two weeks (immobile, laying face down) after her surgery with no pay from her job.
3. Her bills will continue to pile up during her recovery with no income coming in.
4. She will need a follow-up procedure to have some medical glue removed from inside her eyes.
Every small amount helps; it all adds up! Her surgery is Monday, October 9, but please do not hesitate to donate if you are reading this after the 9th; she will need help financially during her recovery and thereafter.
