Please Help Colin Get a Service Dog!

We are hoping to match Colin with a psychiatric/medical response service dog to help us with his medical needs. A trained service dog can help provide him to take his medications, help to prevent anxiety attacks, bringing him to a safe place when an attack starts, and much more.  We are working with a service dog training facility in Atascadero, Ca. We met with Kelly Sosa who founded Central Coast Dog Services. In the next couple of weeks, Colin will begin working on handler training. After the first of the year, he will be matched the dog that will become such a huge part of his life. At that point, $3000 will be given to CCDS to begin the training specific to Colin’s needs. These include responding to Colin’s stress signals, leading and maintaining a safe space for him to recover, carrying as needed medications, and soothing when most needed. This dog is crucial in allowing Colin to continue socially as a teenager and gain independence. We will update along the way with videos of his training. Once all training is complete, the additional $3000 becomes due as the dog now becomes a very large and important part of Colin’s everyday life. Thank you so much to anyone who can help us to allow Colin this resource.
