Help Texas Doghouse Fight Injustice

Donation protected
As many of you know Texas Doghouse has had major issues with our new location for the last 7 months. We moved to a new location after searching for a larger space for 2 years. We had wanted to stay close to our old location, but we couldn't find anything over there. We were very excited about our new location and the possibility of being able to expand even more and see our dreams come true! Our landlord fronted the money for our build-out (we are repaying it similar a mortgage loan) and it should have been completed by Thanksgiving of 2016, but due to neglect from our landlord, them forcing us to use their contractor, who was extremely unprofessional and did not have good craftsmanship, this has not happened. They overpaid the contractor, he walked off the job, and now there is not enough money left in the build-out budget they allotted to cover the remaining amount. On top of that, they are not willing to release the rest of the funds unless we are willing to change the lease terms to benefit them and to our detriment. After months of begging and pleading with them to hold up to their end of the lease, TDH has been forced to file a lawsuit in hopes of getting them to do the right thing so our business can operate at 100%, which we are unable to do at this time. Please know that the dogs are fine and get the same exceptional care as they always have, but we aren't able to be at full capacity and not all new customers understand what we had before and what to expect in the future...our first impression isn't that great right now.

We are launching this Go Fund Me campaign to help with the financial strain this has caused our business and our family. The money we raise will be used to repay what we have already paid out to the attorneys. This does not cover any future costs that this situation may incur and anything raised above this amount will go to future and foreseeable legal fees. We will post updates when we have new things to share. I know we are asking for a lot and we would not do this if it wasn't desperately needed. Please consider donating to help TDH win this injustice.

If you are unable to donate, you can still help by referring your friends and family to us, bringing your dogs to daycamp, leaving online reviews, sharing our Facebook posts, and sharing this campaign on social media.

Thank you so much for your support!

Sincerely,
David and Heather Murphy
