Memorial for those we've Lost

For the past several months I've been trying to garner attention to the amount of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas.  I've been doing this by placing one flag in my front yard for each individual that has died.  As of today we have over 16,500 flags.  And I'm running out of room.  I need your help in finding a more permanent home for this memorial and/or in working with the Texas government to create a more permanent memorial. 

I've been leading this charge on my own until now and have gained interest from around the world, reaching thousands of people.  The COVID Flag Yard has been featured on every major news station in the capital of Texas as well as radio interviews in Australia, television shows in the Netherlands and even made the cover of the New York Times.  With your help, we can pressure the Texas government to create a state wide memorial to our Mothers and Fathers, our Children, and our Lovers and Friends that we have lost to this tragic pandemic.  

Most of us wear our masks everyday. We try to maintain a proper social distance and we do our best to make sure we and our neighbors stay safe.  And yet, it never feels like enough.  Help by donating any amount for the purchase of more flags, the acquisition of more prominent location and in honoring those that have been lost.
