Help Tessa Beat Cancer!

This is my dog, Tessa. She is a 9-year-old golden retriever, and has been one of the best friends and companion I have ever had. Tessa has been a constant by my side these past 9 years, and we have gone on many journeys together through sunshine, rain, snow, and ice, and she has never once complained, but instead smiles and brings joy to everyone else’s lives. We have conquered so many obstacles together, and today I am here asking for help so that I can help Tessa fight our next obstacle together.
Why? Tessa was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) on her front right leg, just below the wrist. We have already been to an oncologist and had CT scans performed, and found that the cancer has not metastasized yet, and thus makes Tessa a good candidate for radiation and treatment therapy. We are cautiously optimistic that this course of action will be successful. She is scheduled to begin treatment next week at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine.
Unfortunately, the vet bills and costs for treatment are starting to mount up, and are expected to be staggering when all is said and done. As a current graduate student my resources are extremely limited. I am working hard to do everything I can to help Tessa fight this disease, and would appreciate any help that you can contribute to Tessa’s fight.
