Tess' Mission Trip to Bolivia

Hello friends and family! I am making plans to be a part of something I believe will be life-changing! A group from my church, The Orchard, is participating in a mission trip this Spring Break (March 24th – April 4th)! We’ll be heading to Cochabamba, Bolivia. I believe I am supposed to be part of this trip and I’m making preparations to get there. Perhaps you could help me!

In Bolivia we will be serving at El Centro de Amsted y Apoyo – an after school program in a poor neighborhood of Cochabamba.  We will be helping with projects around the center, like painting, gardening,  and repairing play structures.  In the afternoons, we will get to host a program for the kids with Bible stories, skits, crafts, and other fun activities.  I am really excited about this part, because I really want to get to know the kids from Cochabamba.  I am a little nervous about trying Bolivian food, but I am really excited to go to the open markets and ride the public transportation.  It will be such a great experience for me to see how people live in Bolivia!

I’d like to specifically ask you to pray about this mission with me and consider a financial gift to help me with the costs of the mission ($2600 per participant).  This cost includes air faire, food, and lodging.  All funds after cost of the trip directly benefit the Bolivians we will be spending time with- our drivers, missionaries who run the guesthouse, our cook, and the children and teachers at El Centro.   We are working to be spiritually prepared and praying for our financial needs to be met. 

I have already raised $400 but need to have the remainder of the required funds raised in full by February 12.  Thank you so much for your support and help in this mission- this trip will be a life-changing experience for me!
