Terry Johnson’s transportation

Hello, I am a childhood friend of Terry Johnson. He was raised in Arcadia and most people in Desoto county know him. He would never ask for help himself because he feels there are so many others who need help. So his friends and I are asking for him.  He is an amazing man. He lost his wife Marie to cancer and was left to raise his 2 small children alone. His daughter and son(Sarah and Shawn) were both born with a rare genetic disorder. Although their bodies grew, their minds did not. Both were bed bound and not able to walk, talk and needed a feeding tube for nutrition. They were able to get out of bed using a special lift and wheelchairs. Shawn died and a few years ago Sarah died also. Terry was one of the best, most dedicated, loving husband, father I have ever known in addition to being a great  friend and man. He has done so much for others his whole life: family, friends and even strangers. Now he needs help. He is no longer able to work due to his own medical issues. He has had several surgical procedures with partial amputation on his feet. His only transportation is his truck. He needs a new motor and all the fluids, belts and gaskets. He will also need to pay someone to do the work ( take the old motor out and install the new one). This truck is his only transportation to doctors appointments, the grocery store, to visit his mom in a nursing home in Port Charlotte, and to just visit friends. I know that this time is very difficult for everyone due to the coronavirus. However if everyone would just donate whatever they can ( 1,5,10,20,100 or more) it would add up very quickly and give him the resources he needs to maintain his independence.
