Hello all,

My big brother Terry is a father, a son, a Christian, a sports enthusiast and a friend to all. I’m asking for your help today so we can add cancer survivor to that list.

Terry was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. It has metastasized to his liver and his treatment will be extensive and likely very, very difficult.

Terry started having sharp pains on the right side of his abdomen in early March. The pain got worse and he finally went to urgent care on March 8th.  After a battery of tests, including a CAT scan, Terry’s doctors found spots on his liver. A few days later, and after another CAT scan, he was diagnosed. A colonoscopy on yet another visit determined it was stage 4.

In early April, Terry will meet with his doctors to determine if his internal organs can handle chemotherapy. The plan is to be aggressive and stop the cells from growing. Surgery is a distinct possibility.

As far too many of you already know, cancer treatment is expensive. This GoFundMe will help Terry with all expenses (medical, travel, etc.) related to his cancer treatment. Any donations that exceed his expenses will be redirected to colon cancer research and prevention programs. In fact, as a way to educate everyone about colon cancer, Terry will chronicle his journey on Facebook. That includes every appointment, hospitalization and treatment. Please follow him https://www.facebook.com/terry.busch.547.

My brother is a good man of modest means. He lives in my hometown of Shakopee, Minnesota and hasn’t been able to work (he’s a cab driver and painter/handyman) because of the pain. Please consider supporting him if you can. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and not forgotten. Prayer and positive thoughts are also welcomed. Make no mistake: Your donation will be a blessing so Terry can focus all his energies on healing his mind, body, and spirit.

Let’s kick cancer’s ass! Let’s add Terry to the list of cancer survivors!

On behalf of my family, thank you for supporting my big brother.  Your love and friendship mean the world to us.

  With love and gratitude, Randy.

Hello everyone short update: on Saturday I finished round 3 of chemo. It really got to me this time. I got sick twice and I'm always tired. My hands and feet are still cold sensitive. I finally got to drink cold water today, but my mouth and tongue are still numb and dry. I still have a good appetite. Then on next Thursday I go in for another round of chemo.
Thank you for all the prayers and I love you all.
Terry

Hi guys, this is Randy. I wanted to let you know some things also. I chat with Terry every day or two by phone and/or text. His spirits are at the top, he does know and believe he will win this battle. Church and prayers are a huge part of my brothers life and have been for a while. So please keep praying! He also says he feels good enough some days to want to work...so he tried sweeping the garage and had to stop due to severe side pains. Well good thought big bro, but maybe let that body fight its fight, right? I keep letting him know people are sincerely interested in this battle and what people are going through so updates are important to everyone that loves him. Thanks you all so much, the Busch family is blessed. We love you all so very much.

Yesterday I had my first day of chemo for 4 hours. They also sent me home with a bag for 46 hours. I get that pulled out tomorrow afternoon at 1:30. Chemo went really good and I feel good. When I got home I went for a walk. I ate and drank a lot. I also stayed up and watched the hockey playoffs without taking a nap. I'm feeling really good today too. I am going to beat this cancer.
I am healed in the name of Jesus!
Amen!
