Terry Baumann Memorial Fund

This world lost a very extraordinary soul on August 26th 2018. My loving dad, Terry Baumann. An incredible man with the most infectious smile and friendly heart is loved, and missed by his family & many, many friends. As many of you know, Terry had a special magic about him that not many people in this world possess. If you frequently visited BJ’s in Hyannis you couldn't miss his upbeat, joyful face at the door always making sure to leave a memorable impression. Terry became a great friend to many customers, as well as fellow employees over the 17 years that he worked there, or to some just a familiar face that you always looked forward to seeing, that would always brighten your day. My dad had an amazing hobby of giving guardian angels to people everyday. He would give them to people that he saw was having a rough day, going thru troubles or just to show gratitude in hard work. Terry was the most loving, thoughtful, selfless person to myself and to many people. A person like my dad only comes around once in a life time, and I'm very proud to call him my dad.

My dad did take his own life and I'm sure it will come to a shock to everyone that knew him as it did to myself, my mom and the family. Terry was an angel and even angels can have demons. I believe very strongly that was the case for my dad. Always wanting to put everyone before himself no matter if he had known you for years, or even a few days. That was just the type of man he was. Within the past few months prior my dad has never shown any signs of this feeling, only to show his positive, happy self like always. He never spoke of his inner demons leading me only to believe he was strong enough to push them away, and wanted everyone to see him as the superman he was and always will be. The man that decided to take his own life was not my dad, as many will agree. He was consumed by his inner demons that were to strong, and overpowering for him to fight anymore resulting in them taking Terry from all of us. This world is too cruel of a place for someone as positive and caring as my dad was. The sudden death of Terry has affected more then just the lives of my family members but, has affected everyone that knew him.

Your donations will help to raise money for a memorial bench in my dads honor located at his favorite spot on a walking path, overlooking Cape Cod Bay and the Canal. Any excess money will go to supporting my family during this very difficult time and as well as donations made to a charity supporting suicide awareness and prevention.
