Hello, my name is Alisha Culbertson. I am starting this website for my mom, Terri (Wendler) Pruitt.
Her story: In November of 2013 she started having extreme abdominal pains. After months of being in pain, and dreading going to the doctor because of no medical insurance, she finally went in August of 2014, worried something serious was going on with her body. She was in the hospital for over two weeks to find out she has a kink in her intestines, inflammatory bowel disease, chrones, and ulcerative colitis. They also found a small "mass" in her uterus. They did a biopsy on Thursday testing for cervical and uterine cancer. It has been sent off and we are expecting results sometime this week. The doctor is moving things pretty urgently and already scheduled her hysterectomy for Thursday, September 25th.
Expenses: Her current bill at Mercy in Joplin, Mo is over $25,000. This is not including the bill for her colonoscopy, or for the biopsy, or for the hysterectomy that is coming up soon. This also isn't including the missed paychecks and living expenses at home that never stop coming.
If you know my mom, you know she never asks for a hand out. She is a hardworking woman that would do anything for her kids. So I am asking for her. If you would like to help with my mom's medical or living expenses you can do that through this site. Anything, whether it's $1, $5, or $20 helps. If you cannot give financially, pray for my mom... That healing will take place in her body and that the doctors can solve the problem that is going on inside of her.
