Help a Homeless Dog Shelter

While I was living in Costa Rica this past summer, I had the luck of visiting Heaven on Earth.   Territorio de Zaguates is a ranch on a "state" next to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica.  It is the home of 700 homeless dogs and run by two amazing people who decided, 10 years ago, to open their home and hearts to the dozens and dozens of homeless dogs in Costa Rica.  Territorio de Zaguates reduces the number of stray dogs by castration of all dogs rescued and raises awareness about caring and responsible ownership of pets.  They seek to change the culture of leaving animals we have domesticated to the streets,

After going to the ranch with a friend, we left with tears in our eyes as we heard Alvaro, the founder's stories of the many dogs and how  much money was desperately needed for the ranch.  Alvaro and Leah are only two people, trying to pay handlers, the medicine, and food for all these angels.  With my experience in film, I decided to put my two cents in and make a video for them of everything I could manage to capture in the short time I was there. 

I hope those who watch this get the same feeling I had when I was there.  If you have a dog of your own, you would understand how much it is to care for one dog.  Now imagine 700 angels needing attention, all running around a field, looking to smother you with kisses.  It is truly a sight to see.  

All the money raised through this website will go directly to the dogs, for the building of the roofs, the organization required after so many years, employees, the veterinary care for every single one, blankets and such necessities.    If you are against euthanization, you will donate at least 1$!!
