Termites are eating our classroom!

Tax deductible
Help repair, renovate, and light up the PEP-Centro classroom at Honduras Child Alliance!

Oh no! There’s trouble at the Honduras Child Alliance PEP-Centro classroom! Termites are eating the tables and chairs, the roof is falling, and wooden slats on the sides of the building are crumbling, leaving us vulnerable to rodents and rain.

Also critically needed are light fixtures, ceiling fans, and mesh screening.  . . .

Yet, with a little help from our friends (and their friends), repairs can and will be made!

The Honduras Child Alliance provides educational enrichment and healthy living programs to children in the Caribbean community of El Porvenir. The children in our programs are often living in extreme poverty and in fragile family situations. HCA volunteers provide English and computer instruction, support for reading and writing in Spanish, art projects, a healthy snack, and most importantly, a safe place for children to explore and learn.

At this point, the PEP-Centro situation is serious! Many of our students live in chaotic home situations so it is essential that we are dedicated to making their classroom a beautiful, fun, and safe place to learn and play. With your help, the PEP-Centro students can be consistently welcomed into a comfortable, well-maintained learning environment. Thanks in advance for generously supporting the deserving children of El Porvenir!

    Your donation will provide:

-Replacement of the termite-eaten tables and benches.
-Support & replacement for termite eaten roof trusses.
-Termite treatment for the entire building.
-Side slats to keep out rodents, rain, and unwelcome visitors.
-Mesh screening to further keep out insects and rodents.
-4 new light fixtures for the main and back classroom areas.
-3 ceiling fans for the main and back classroom areas.
-A fresh coat of paint for the entire classroom.

The above comes to about $1000 USD. If we can raise a little more, an additional $350 USD will provide:

-A new sink for the children to wash their hands before snack
-New whiteboard
-Metal shelving for storage (termites won’t eat metal!)
-Plastic bins for materials and supplies

We do a lot with a little, but with YOUR help, we can do so much more!

Thanks again from all of us at the Honduras Child Alliance!
