Teresa's Story
Teresa is a wife, mother, daughter, and my sister. She is 32 years old and has 2 amazing children. While trying on a dress in a local department store, Teresa discovered a lump in her breast. Immediately, Teresa called her doctor describing the pain and what she was feeling. The doctor asked her to come in as soon as possible to run some tests. After the examination and test results were in, it was determined that the lump that Teresa had found was a cancerous tumor and was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.
Teresa's scan showed doctors that the measurement of her tumor is at stage 3 with a clinical diagnosis of stage 2 breast cancer. As recommended by her doctor, Teresa is facing 6 months of chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiation. On top of this treatment, Teresa will also need to undergo either a lumpectomy or a masectomy surgery.
Currently Teresa is on her 3rd round of chemo, and due to her treatments, Teresa has had to stop working. With two young children and a husband, expenses are a part of life. With the challenges her family is now facing, those expenses have begun to increase. To help Teresa and her family through this increadibly hard time, I am hoping that together, we can help in blesing them with financial relief. Any amount, big or small, would help their family immensely.
