Teresa Olmedo’s Funeral Expenses

Hello everyone. As many of you know Teresa Olmedo was diagnosed with stage three colorectal cancer in November of 2016. Although initially the treatments appeared to be giving positive results as time has progressed both the effects of the treatments of radiation and chemotherapy have begun to take a larger toll on her both physically and emotionally. After two major surgeries and an years worth of treatment things have been far from getting any easier. The cancer progressed to stage 4 due to the fact that it spread to several parts of her abdomen and back. Unfortunately, the medication continued to put a major toll on her body and the treatments and all other medications that were necessary began to be too much for her. Over the last month or so, visits to the hospital became much more frequent and Teresa’s health has continued to deteriorate. The doctors have determined that any further treatment to combat the cancer will only hurt her more and consequently decided to have her under comfort care for the remainder of her life. Although it is not possible to predict a time as to when she will pass, we are aware that the time is coming very close.

Throughout the entire process, as a family we have experienced a great emotional toll. We have received an enormous amount of support that we will be eternally grateful for. The group of doctors that cared for her were phenomenal, and we cannot thank them enough having given us hope and a fighting chance over the course of the last two years. We would like to take this space to thank everyone for all of the emotional, spiritual and financial support that we have received until now. As we plan for the inevitable future we know that there will be overwhelming expenses in terms of funeral, viewing and any other costs that will come our way. Additionally, Carlos Olmedo, her husband, has had to take a lot of time off of work to tend to Teresa throughout this time which leads to a further need of financial support for the upcoming expenses. We are therefore asking for any sort of financial support that you can and are willing to provide. Any contribution, no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated and we cannot thank you enough for this.

We are extremely thankful for all the support we receive whether it be financially or emotionally. Please keep sending prayers and positive vibes in Tere’s direction so that she can be at peace during her final moments and beyond this life.
