Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer

Hello everyone. As many of you know Teresa Olmedo was diagnosed with stage three colorectal cancer in November of 2016. Although initially the treatments appeared to be giving positive results as time has progressed both the effects of the treatments of radiation and chemotherapy have begun to take a larger toll on her both physically and emotionally. After two major surgeries and an years worth of treatment things have been far from getting any easier. The cancer has progressed to stage 4 due to the fact that it has spread to her liver and several polyps have appeared post op. She is currently undergoing a new set of chemotherapy that commenced at the beginning of the year and is scheduled for now to last at least until at least June of this year depending on how her body reacts to it all.

Throughout the entire process, as a family we have experienced a great emotional toll. We have received an enormous amount of support that we will be eternally grateful for. The group of doctors have been phenomenal, and we cannot thank them enough for giving us hope and a fighting chance against the cancer. Although thankfully Tere has had the fortune of having large parts of her treatment and surgeries covered in terms of finances not all of what she needs is covered financially. This has caused a great financial toll on our family and this has only gotten worse as the time has progressed and things have accumulated. We are therefore asking for any sort of financial support that you can provide to continue to give her a fighting chance and put her in a better position to positively recover as time continues to progress. Any contribution, no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated and we can not thank you enough for this.
