Teresa Gallad Medical Expenses

Our friend Teresa was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ependymoma, which is a tumor of the brain or spinal cord. In Teresa's case her tumors were discovered last year following a car accident.

Teresa has travelled to Stanford Medical Center in Mountain  View from Cameron Park every month since diagnosis and has received extensive treatment there resulting in medical billes totalling over $50,000 and Stanford is currently unable to help her. If they were to operate it could leave her a total quadraplegic if she were to even survive the surgery.

There is a medical team located at the MD Anderson Center in Houston TX that may be able to offer her hope for treatment and she and her husband Carlo are traveling there this month to be evaluated, but the mounting bills from Stanford and the loss of income for both her and her husband has made this trip and her subsequent care a burden that has surpassed their ability to handle right now.

We are asking for everyone's help in getting Teresa to Houston this month for evaluation and possible treatment but also to help with her existing medical bills. This is a challenging time for Teresa and Carlo and their two children, we all need to band together so we can help her on the road to treament and hopefully recovery.

This trip is Teresa's last hope for treatment and time is of the essence since the tumors are growing rapidly. Please help us take away the financial strain of this illness so the family can concentrate on healing.
