Teresa Allgood - Florence Relief

For those of us lucky enough to know and work with Teresa Allgood, she's more than just a key member of our WCE family. Teresa always has a positive attitude and a smile. She encourages us to be the best version of ourselves and, perhaps most importantly, is always there to help anyone in any way she can.

Unfortunately, Teresa's home on Emerald Isle in North Carolina was hit with the full force of Hurricane Florence. The storm surge sent 5 feet of water sloshing around the inside of her home. Teresa and her family are now at the beginning of a long and painful journey to clean up and rebuild.

Now, we have the opportunity to help someone that would do anything to help any of us.

While it is expected that insurance will cover the bulk of the costs, Teresa and her family will have to bare substantial and unexpected expenses. As they’re facing the next year of rebuilding, things like temporary housing, storage, personal items, etc will have to be paid out of pocket. 

100% of your donations (less GoFundMe fees) will go to Teresa and her family to cover expenses as they clean up and rebuild their home.

IBM has a long history of giving back because of the generosity of IBMers. There a many ways to help victims of Hurricane Florence including the formal program with the Red Cross being sponsored by IBM. However, this is a great way to rally around and help one of our own.
