Hello. My name is Joseph Kautz, founder of Tent City Barbers. Since 2018 we have given free haircuts to more than 1,000 displaced adults and children needing a fresh cut for a fresh outlook. We bring our services to tent cities, encampments, shelters and the streets of the San Francisco Bay Area. We are fundraising with these goals:
- to help defray the costs of outreach expenses. (Equipment, Product, Travel, Etc)
- to develop a service learning dimension for new talent for training, equipment, and leadership opportunities in the company.
Our $7,000 goal will provide the base funding for anchoring Tent City Barbers in the Bay Area. We know our client base well and are scaling up our efforts to meet the needs of a growing homeless population. I buy everything at wholesale prices and am partnering with industry, so your donations will make a real impact. Supplies and expenses for our services are expensive and every dollar makes a difference. We have affiliations with Dignity on Wheels, Move On Shelters, Martha's Kitchen, and others and we are an Approved 501C3 Public Charity. I appreciate your support, and please share our cause widely.
