Temporary accomodation for Ukrainians fleeing

Hi Everyone,

 

My name is Tristan, I am Australian, some of you will have met me already on your travels and will know that outside of Australia, I have spent 4.5 years living in the cultural capital of Ukraine, Lviv. I have a strong connection to Ukraine and its people, many of whom I consider close friends.

 

As many of you, I have been watching the headlines very closely, the emergency has appeared to materialise.

 

This being the case, I plan to provide emergency lodgings to Ukrainians who need to flee the hotspots in a hurry and need somewhere to go.

At this moment in time,  as the war intensifies more and more refugees are fleeing.. the best way we have found to coordinate funding is to contribute directly to AirBnB.org. That way Ukrainians can access the funding where, when and to what extent they need it.

Donations go to Airbnb.org, a U.S. 501(c)(3) charity. Airbnb.org helps people find a place to stay in times of crisis.

If you'd like to help finance this initiative, we can work together to scale its impact and potentially protect livelihoods of Ukrainians disrupted by forces completely out of their control,

I believe this is the most efficient/effective way to support crossing the borders into Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.
