Your contribution assists with PR (e.g., advertising,
web development & maintenance, etc.); travel, photographer fees and adminstrative costs for conducting interviews and developing this multimedia gallery exhibit.
August Wilson Tribute
August Wilson Literary Tribute celebrating the life and work of this Pulitzer Prize winning playwright.
Your contribution supports the collection of oral, written and photo-narrative images, collectibles, letters, remembrances via interviews of by and about August Wilson and his body of work.
Golden Isles Teen Journal Publication
Your contribution assists with the professional publication of a unique collection of teen journal writings made in conjunction with a Freedom Writer's Teacher and his high school English class in a Golden Isles, Lowcountry Georgia coastal town of Glynn County. The students were taught 9 creative journaling techniques and used them all to share entries which were edited into a collective teen journal, which was used as an effective tool for writing instruction for subsequent semesters. We are seeking to publish this in a professional edition making copies available for future students and teachers.
Dr. Benjamin E. Mays Essay Contest
for High School Seniors
Your contribution assists with PR, funding and administrative costs for running, judging and awarding three winning high school students (1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes). First prize $500; Second prize $300; Third prize $150. A limited number of entrants receive free copies of his memoir, Born to Rebel. However all entrants read and respond to this memoir as they learn about the remarkable life of service to education that Dr B.E. Mays dedicated his life to. Winning essays are awarded prize funds toward their initial year of college.
J. California Cooper Tribute
J. California Cooper Literary Tribute celebrating the life and work of this award winning writer.
Your contribution supports the collection of oral, written and photo-narrative images, collectibles, letters, remembrances by way of interviews of by and J. California Cooper's body of work and its curative effect.

Make your contribution for bringing adaptations of select pieces from the oeuvre of Telling Our Stories Press memoir collections and anthologies to stage. Adaptations of stage performances of TOSP anthologies currently include ROLL, IMPACT, SO LONG and REVERIE.
