Telika battles rheumatoid arthritis

Telika Davidson is a single mother with a son age 10. About May 2019 she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. This causes very painful inflammation in the joints and body systems. Telika experiences disabling pain in her joints, swelling in her legs and feet, shortness of breath, fluid around the heart.
Due to this illness, she missed 4.5 months of work. She has a good customer service job where her manager has worked with her during her illness. But since she couldn't work and get a paycheck, she was evicted from her apartment and moved in with her sister.
Telika owns a car but borrowed $3200 from a title loan to help with her medical bills, rent, utilities, and other expenses. With no expectation of being on medical leave for so long, she fell behind two months on payments and the car was repossessed. Her sister arranged to have her daughter (Telika's niece) pay the loan and use the car until Telika could pay the niece the money. Telika is not able to use the car during this time until she pays off the loan. To get to work and doctor visits, she uses Uber which is expensive and leaves her very little to save to pay back her sister/niece to get her car back.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic illness but with proper treatment, it can be managed. Telika is trying to follow doctor's treatment orders, but she's not able to take off work, pay the Uber, and get to the many doctor visits. Even though she has benefits, the portion she pays for treatment and medications is overwhelming and limits her ability to save for the car loan and pay all the medical bills.
Her health has improved a little with some treatment, but some days she still cannot work due to flare-ups from the illness. And her treatment is expensive and she's not able to save enough to get her car back.
We are friends of Telika and started this fundraiser to help her get her car back and pay for some essential treatment she needs. She has been patient and willing to do whatever it takes. She stays positive and trusts in God that there is a purpose for this and he will send help.
