Ted Jackson's medical fund

I am writing this, along with the help of my dad, on behalf of Ted Jackson. Ted is currently getting ready to undergo a surgery to amputate his left leg, below the knee. He has been through many surgeries due to Diabetes. He has always been a fighter and now he could use the support of friends and family to help him and Liz fight this battle. He has a long road of recovery and that’s where we come in.
If Ted knew you needed help, he would organize and have people ready to go to do any job. He was there no matter what the need was. Anyone could call day or night, and he would be there to help. As fire chief, Ted was the best, his knowledge of the jobs that needed to be done was extraordinary, plus the contacts he had was invaluable to our community.
Ted worked tirelessly to upgrade the fire department equipment, turnouts, fire engines, and ambulance's. No matter where you are out on the road, in any town, or talking to anyone about fire department, or EMS, they knew of Ted Jackson. We were lucky to have him in our little town. Ted helped to organize all the 4th of July fireworks, people available to have the barbecue's ready, and stayed up countless hours to cook along with the rest of the fire department. He drove to El Centro California one year to get carne asada that people requested for the 4th of July BBQ.
One of the programs that Ted was instrumental in starting was the fire explorer program. This gave several young people the chance to learn important skills and responsibility to begin a career in fire science or EMS.
Easter weekends, Ted would be available to render aide to anyone who needed it, free of charge. He would set up his trailer and put a flag up so people would know where he was if emergency medical care was needed.
Needless to say, he has always been there for anyone. Family, friends, strangers, it never made a difference to him. Now it is our turn to show Ted the same love and support that he has shown us. Every little bit counts and will be very appreciated. Thank you for your support of someone who means so much to me and so many others.
