Teddy's Medical fund

On September 7, 2018, Michelle and the boys went for a walk, she had the dog and the boys on their bikes. The boys were riding fast down a hill and Teddy decided to do a wheelie which caused him to crash.  Both the bike and him went flying, with the bike landing first and Teddy landing on top of the handlebars. He hit with such force that the handlebar went into his tummy. He lacerated his liver so bad it nearly tore in half, it was a 4-5 laceration and was just a few centimeters from his main artery. The next couple of days, Teddy has been in severe pain but slowly improving. On September 10th, He was able to move out of PICU but had to have a scan of his liver to make sure he was not leaking bile.  A tear was discovered so a follow up CT scan was done. To fix the tear a procedure called an ERCP needs to be done and possibly a stent. Since pediatric ERCPs are not routinely done is Sioux Falls, he will need to be seen at a hospital that does them regularly like Mayo or Children's in Omaha or Minneapolis. Michelle and Patrick should know tomorrow where Teddy will be going for this procedure. With the seriousness of his injury and his medical treatments, bills will be adding up fast and will be very expensive. This fundraiser will help Michelle and Patrick be able to focus on Teddy and his treatment while not worrying about the financial aspect of this accident.
