Ted Stauffer, 1st Combat Comm Gp

I knew Ted in Germany as a member of the 1st Combat Communications Group. Ted worked in radio operations deploying from Scandinavia to the Red Sea and many  classified locations with the USAF and other branches of our military and NATO allies on classified and humanitarian missions too.

When in garrison, Ted was a leader and player for the 1st MOB softball team traveling all over Europe when possible. Additionally, as a bartender at the Lindsey Club. Always smiling and happy.

Now thirty years later, Ted is in the hospital for a non-Covid illness. After years of medication for mini-strokes, his doctor convinced him to have an major, but not a complicated procedure to clear blockage; as a result of the surgery, he did have complications and is near death.

Ted has been moved to a hospice care facility in Tampa Florida. He has no insurance for care or burial for our Veteran!
