I have started this fund raiser on behalf of TESA'S RESCUE, as one of the volunteers, to try my very best to raise the necessary money to cover all of the expenses that we have for Ted.
Who is Ted you might wonder! Ted, a Chihuahua cross Terrier, became my foster dog just before Christmas. The couple who owned him needed to rehome him ASAP. In the space of few days, Ted ended up going to several different homes - although everybody meant well, nobody was able to cope with Ted (excessive barking at everything, restlessness around the house/at night, severe separation anxiety, extra high energy). It is believed that Ted did not have a good upbringing, proper socialising or training, he'd been kept in a crate for extended periods of time as his owners used to work very long hours. Finally the little guy came into foster with me and we're doing very well! He is now learning, well, everything - he comes on lovely daily walks with me and lots of other dogs, he is learning to be calmer, more receptive, sleep through the night, walk gently on the lead, all in all have some manners. It's a beautiful process which I love, but also a process which happens at the dog's pace, however we're progressing beautifully already. I will of course keep updating this fund raiser with more good news as we go along!
Ted has been seen by the vet and he behaved impeccably during his appointment! We now know that Ted is 3 years old, microchipped and overall healthy. We de-wormed/de-flead him and started his course of vaccinations; we also booked his neutering surgery, but one of his testicles hasn't descended properly so the vet will need to explore to find it, this means we're looking at a higher price for his neutering. We booked the rest of his vaccines shortly after neutering.
I will list little Ted's expenses here in the hope that you will be ever so kind as to donate small amounts and help us cover everything that Ted needs to become adoptable and have a good quality of life!
£35 second round of vaccines
(COVERED) £35 first vaccines
(COVERED) £228 neutering surgery
(COVERED) £28 / £40 collar + 2 doggy coats (1 little jumper, 1 rain coat)
All of these expenses are reduced as much as possible and our vets are so kind and loving towards our animals. We would love to cover everything as soon as we possibly can so that our mind is at peace knowing that our debts are ZERO. This will allow us to move and rescue the next animal in dire need!
