Ted Blankenheim Carr Fire Victim

Ted Blankenheim has spent the last 40 years of his life serving the North State, caring for the sick and injured, and providing for the disadvantaged. Ted has lost everything in the Carr Fire, and despite his personal loss, he is helping everyone in need evacuate, moving forward like the hero he is to all of us. 

A Registered Nurse, retired Paramedic, and Old Shasta Fire Chief, Ted has spent his life giving to others in need. He has lived and given back to the North State for close to 40 years. 

Generous to a fault, Ted truly embodies "In a world where you can be anything, be kind"... Ted is known for his generous heart and would do anything to help someone in need.

If you are wondering about why Ted is familiar to you, fifteen years ago, he founded Bikes for Kids, which last December provided more than 250 brand-new bicycles to foster children in Shasta County. 

Although he wont ask for help, he needs help now... He has lost everything in the Carr Fire... His home and all  worldly possessions went up in flames Thursday night. He is mourning the loss if his beloved kitties which could not be caught in time. He was only able to evacuate 2 of his cats as he fled the approaching fire. He is devastated. 

He called me last night to tell me he felt "Blessed" as so many have lost so much more... He is currently without a home and has only the clothes on his back... and he is "Blessed". Ted is truly one of Gods Angels on earth. If you have the ability to help this amazing man... please do.... He is busy at this moment helping others evacuate the devastating Carr Fire.
