Hi, I'm Sam - co-founder (along with my best friend Leyton) of RAVEN, a Fife-based software startup.
A trip to the States wasn't originally on our plan for 2024, but after a brilliant experience as part of the Techscaler Next Steps programme (Apr-June'24) we were absolutely delighted (and not a little shocked!) to be chosen to participate on the Techscaler Silicon Valley trip in August'24.
Silicon Valley is a global centre of technological innovation for software and internet companies, and the birthplace or incubator for many tech household names (like Facebook).
The 3 week trip will give me the opportunity to immerse myself in the innovative and ambitious ecosystem (mindset shift), make important connections and plan for expansion into international markets.
It includes attendance at SaaStr Annual 2024 - the World’s #1 SaaS Gathering with 13,000 Cloud and SaaS Founders, VCs, and Execs for the 10th conference — aimed at helping startups scale faster with less stress and more success.
As a bootstrapping startup, we are seeking support to help us make the most of this incredible opportunity, and want to give a shout-out and thank you to the people and organisations locally who've already offered their generous support:
- A client, who has contributed directly towards the estimated £2k costs of the trip

Whilst the flights, accommodation and conference tickets are funded, we still have to cover the costs of 3 weeks in San Francisco (one of the most £££ cities in the world) and getting to any meetings/events etc.
We have 10 amazing gifts as a potential bonus thank you to 10 lucky people/organisations who donate at least £10 to our fundraising campaign.
If we raise more than is needed to cover the costs of the trip, we will donate the excess to local charity, Nourish Support Centre.
