Tebbs Family Car Accident Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Adam, Marisa, Carter (2 yrs old), and Cozette Tebbs (4 months old) were involved in a head-on collision around 10 PM on March 7th, 2020. They were traveling home from visiting family when they were struck head-on by a drunk driver that ran through a red light going a high rate of speed.
The drunk driver of the white sedan walked away without any injuries and was arrested at the scene.
All members of the Tebbs family miraculously survived; however with serious injuries. Both of the kids were properly restrained in the appropriate car seats and officials claimed that is the reason they are still alive. Their Nissan Rogue safety features luckily performed as designed and deploying all the airbags. The doors needed to be forcibly opened by emergency first responders to tend to Carter and Cozette in their car seats.
The Tebbs family was rushed to Intermountain Medical Center by ambulance. Marisa found barely conscious suffering the worst of the injuries breaking multiple vertebrae bones in her back and both her feet. At this time she does have movement in her legs; however, she will need to stay multiple nights in-hospital care. Doctors say she will be in a back brace for a minimum of 3 months, unable to care for her young children. She will be needing multiple surgeries to repair the fractures in both her feet.
Adam was taken on a stretcher in a lot of pain after doing everything he could attempt to open the doors to see if his children were okay. He found it difficult to breathe due to the internal impact his organs faced with the collision. He was released from the emergency room that night extremely sore.
Carter had a burn on his neck from his car seat harness. He was shaken up but medical responders assured us he was ok.
Cozette was also ok, however, was inconsolable and restless that night due to the shock of the accident. Medical responders also cleared her of any serious injuries.
This GoFundMe campaign has been set up to provide immediate and long term help for the young Tebbs family as they prepare for what the future holds. Marisa will not be able to work or tend to her children in the coming months. With the cost of medical bills they will soon face we ask for any donation to help!
