AIUTA TEATRO ONLIFE: UN ONLINE INSIEME

Piattaforma digitale per bambini che offre un’esperienza di teatro interattivo.

Con l’emergenza sanitaria in corso i teatri, così come tanti altri spazi di aggregazione e cultura, hanno chiuso lasciando un grandissimo vuoto. Il nostro progetto vuole essere una valida e strutturata alternativa allo spazio fisico del teatro, un nuovo modo di fare e fruire di questa forma d’arte, con gli spettatori al centro.
Che sarà utile anche quando i teatri apriranno.

Abbiamo chiamato questo progetto “Teatro Onlife”.

Svilupperemo una piattaforma software specifica che permetterà al Teatro, e soprattutto il Teatro Ragazzi di rompere i tradizionali schemi di rappresentazione per entrare in una nuova, innovativa, dimensione virtuale.

È possibile fare teatro senza un teatro? Senza un luogo di incontro tangibile? Com’e possibile incontrare il pubblico quando i teatri sono chiusi?

E anche quando riapriranno è possibile affiancare all’esperienza dal vivo la fruibilità di uno spettacolo virtuale senza perdere il qui e ora?

Il progetto rappresenta una scommessa che il Teatro Ragazzi lancia nel coniugaretre soggetti differenti

1-      l’attore con la sua azione performativa e pedagogica;                                                   
2-      il pubblico, in particolare il pubblico dei ragazzi , inclusi i bambini con disabilità
3-      il sistema digitale

La scommessa consiste nel mantenere vivo e costante il denominatore che fa dello spettacolo dal vivo un evento irripetibile e interattivo, creando nuova affluenza di pubblico, attraverso l’incontro su una piattaforma digitale dedicata.

Come?

Con lo sviluppo di diverse e innovative tecnologie che svilupperemo nel tempo.

Quelle che in 90 giorni ci permetteranno di andare in scena in maniera più strutturata rispetto alle sperimentazioni fatte finora sono:

1.      La piattaforma web che ospiterà i diversi spazi virtuali (ognuno corrisponde a uno spettacolo). Per realizzare tale piattaforma un team di esperti si occuperà di individuare la Minimum Viable Product ovvero lo strumento che ci permetterà di identificare la versione più semplice in quanto a efficacia e immediatezza e che offrirà le funzionalità principali (dette "core") di Teatro Onlife.

In contemporanea, un team di sviluppo web e app si dedicherà alla creazione di altri due strumenti funzionali del prodotto: la app per i bambini e la piattaforma editoriale.
 
2.      la app permetterà agli spettatori, bambini e ragazzi con genitori e nonni, di interagire durante lo spettacolo (con emoj, con disegni prestabiliti ecc). Questa fase verrà seguita da un team composto di persone qualificate per lo sviluppo del web e per la realizzazione della app. In questo modo lo show potrà utilizzare risorse quali filmati, disegni, elementi grafici o file audio che potranno poi essere riprodotti e utilizzati dagli attori e dagli spettatori. Poiché la piattaforma sarà gestita tramite più server remoti, gli spettacoli potranno essere svolti contemporaneamente con partecipanti connessi da qualunque località. I genitori potranno configurare gli account dei figli, prenotare gli spettacoli e controllarne lo svolgimento tramite il sito web, i bambini potranno accedere tramite l’app su tablet.

3.      la piattaforma editoriale online, mediante la quale registi e attori contribuiranno a creare ilpalinsesto ovvero la programmazione strutturata di eventi ai quali prendere parte.

Questa parte si compone di:

- la creazione dello spettacolo nello spazio virtuale con grafiche, sfondi e suoni, programmazione di effetti visivi e sonori (andremo ad animare i diversi spazi virtuali)
- la messa in onda della storia nel giorno e orari stabiliti dal palinsesto, esecuzione dello storyboard e gestione in tempo reale dell’interazione con i bambini
 
Chi farà cosa?

Per realizzare questa fase selezioneremo unteam di progettazione composto da un regista teatro ragazzi, un psicologo dell'infanzia, un illustratore infanzia, un web designer, un sistemista, un coordinatore organizzativo.

Con lo sviluppo di queste tecnologie Teatro Onlife può andare in scena.

Quando il pubblico potrà fruirne?

Teatro Onlife diventerà un’attività permanente e struttura che andrà a integrarsi alla programmazione teatrale più tradizionale.
Gli spettacoli di Teatro Onlife saranno fruibili dal pubblico a partire dalla stagione teatrale 2021/2022: coordineremo spettacoli in presenza ed eventi Onlife ai quali potrà partecipare una platea vasta e senza limitazioni.

Perché?

Teatro Onlife è un modo nuovo e innovativo di esperienza teatrale per i bambini.
Non si sostituisce all’esperienza in presenza. Si integra ad essa e sarà l’occasione per guardare al futuro!

Cosa succede in Teatro Onlife?

Lo spettatore potrà scegliere tra gli spettacoli in programma e accedere a Teatro Onlife tramite dispositivo.
Lo staff artistico darà il via allo show.

·         l’attore/i potrà narrare la storia da remoto utilizzando webcam e computer,

·         il regista, con il supporto del tecnico, potrà applicare in tempo reale effetti audiovisivi e riprodurre filmati e immagini, restituendo sui dispositivi dei bambini un flusso audiovisuale complesso

·         i bambini potranno interagire con l’attore attraverso la voce, il tocco,  di particolari dispositivi che verranno creati a doc come avviene nelle piattaforme del videogioco.

La piattaforma offrirà sia un corredo di risorse audiovisive e grafiche dedicato a ogni spettacolo, sia una serie di elementi ricorrenti, quali per esempio personaggi animati, maschere e avatar.

I bambini potranno partecipare a gruppi ridotti - fino a 30 accessi per spettacolo - per favorire la relazione interpersonale e mantenere il grado di inclusione necessario.

Ci siamo già sperimentati con il progetto Teatro Onlife. Spettacoli in rete per il mondo dei bambini, ma per migliorare il livello di interazione abbiamo bisogno di potenziare lo spettro degli strumenti a disposizione.

THEATRE ONLIFE  -  AN ONLINE PROJECT WE CAN BUILD TOGETHER

 

A digital platform for children that offers an interactive theatre experience.

With the ongoing COVID-19 health emergency, theatres, as well as many other cultural meeting venues, have closed, leaving a huge void in our social and entertainment experiences. Our project aims to be a valid alternative to the physical space of the theatre. A new way of making and enjoying this form of art with the audience actively participating, which will continue when theatres reopen.

 We have called this project “Theatre Onlife”. It aims to develop a specific software platform that will allow Children's Theatre to break with traditional theatrical representation schemes to enter a new, innovative, virtual dimension.

Is it possible to do theatre without a theatre? Without a tangible meeting place? How is it possible to meet the public when the theatres are closed?

And even when they reopen, is it possible to combine the live experience with the availability of a virtual show without losing the here and now involvement?

 
This project represents an opportunity for Children's Theatre to combine:

1. the actor’s performance and teaching with,
2. the child audience - including challenged children,
3. the child’s use of the digital system/world.

 
The challenge is to keep alive the uniqueness of each individual interactive digital performance. We are trying to replicate this as we have all experienced in live theatre performances.

How are we trying to achieve this?

By using current and innovative new technologies which will be developed during this time.

In fact within 90 days, we want to develop a program that will allow us to go on stage in a more structured way than the experiments have so far through the following:
 
1.     The web platform will host different virtual spaces (each corresponding to a show). To create this platform, a team of experts will identify the Minimum Viable Product { this is a term used in Startup}. This is the tool that will allow us to recognize the simplest version in terms of effectiveness and immediacy, that will offer the main functions (called "core") of Theatre Onlife.

At the same time, a web and App development team will focus on creating two other functional tools for the product: the App for children and the publishing platform.
 
2- The App will allow spectators, children and teenagers with parents and grandparents, to interact during the show (with emojis, with pre-established drawings).

This phase will be followed by a team of qualified people for the development of the web site and for the realization of the App.

In this way, the show will be able to use resources such as videos, drawings, graphics or audio files that can then be reproduced and used by the actors and spectators. Since the platform will be managed through multiple remote servers, the shows can be held simultaneously with connected participants from any location. Parents will be able to manage their children's accounts, book shows and monitor their progress through the website. Children will be able to access the site via the App on their tablet.

3 - The online publishing platform, through which directors and actors will contribute to create the schedule or the structured programming of events in which to take part.

This part consists of:

• the creation of the show in the virtual space with graphics, backgrounds and sounds, programming of visual and sound effects (we will animate the different virtual spaces)

• broadcasting of the story on the day and times established by the schedule, execution of the storyboard and real-time management of interaction with children.

 
Who will do what?

To carry out this phase we will select a design team composed of a children's theatre director, a child psychologist, a childhood illustrator, a web designer, a systems engineer and an organizational coordinator.

With the development of these technologies, “Theatre Onlife“ can go on stage.

When will the public be able to use it?

“Theatre Onlife” will become a permanent activity and structure that will integrate with the more traditional theatre programming.

The “Theatre Onlife” shows will be available to the public starting from the 2021/2022 theatre season. We will coordinate live theatre shows as well as Theatre Onlife events in which a world-wide audience can participate and without limitations.

Theatre Onlife is a new and innovative way of theatre experience for children and family.

It does not replace the live theatre experience. Theatre Onlife will integrate with live theatre and provide an opportunity to look to the future!

What happens in the Theatre Onlife?

 The spectator can choose between the scheduled shows and access the Theatre Onlife via a device.

The art staff will kick off the show.

• the actor/s can tell the story remotely using a webcam and computer,
• the director / technician will be able to apply audio-visual effects in real time and reproduce films and images, returning a complex audio-visual flow to children's devices
• children will be able to interact with the actor/s through voice and touching of particular devices that will be created especially for this purpose  as it happens in video game platforms.

 
The platform will offer both a set of audio-visual and graphic resources dedicated to each show and a series of recurring elements, such as animated characters, masks and avatars.

Children will be able to participate in small groups of up to 30 admissions per show to foster interpersonal relationships and maintain the necessary degree of inclusion.

 
We have already experimented with the Theatre Onlife project and used this to enhance the spectrum of tools available to improve the level of interaction needed to fully use our new platform.
