Hello. I am here to ask for your consideration in our brother's fight with FTD . You may be asking (as we all did) what is FTD and is there a cure for it?
FTD stands for Frontotemporal Degeneration which is a form of Dementia and in my brothers case, is causing severe shrinkeage to his frontal lobe. Dominic recently turned 59 and we all were in disbelief when he was diagnosed. Fact of the matter is this disease can onset as early as age 20. The most heart wrenching issue is there is no cure for this disease.

Dominc was content in life being a loving father of 2 grown children, Nickie and Tony. He was only missing one thing, true love. That all changed when he met Beth and married her almost 2 years ago. Beth has taught him the true meaning of love and filled his heart with all the happiness he dreamed of. She has been by his side throughout his diagnosis and has the strength of an army to carry him along the way.
.Dominic is an adventurous soul and brings an abundance of energy anywhere he goes. He is the kind of guy that drops everything in a heartbeat to help a friend or family member in need.
In these past few months, Dominic has shown dramatic change in his behavior; fatigue, loss of appetite, lack of memory, and a severe loss of brain function. Due to his disease, his business has suffered and caused financial burden on his family and his disease. This business was the one thing that motivated him to get out of bed every morning.
Our family is devastated that he is going through FTD because it is affecting all aspects of his life. Dominic and Beth have a long road ahead of them.
