Join the fight!!
Patrick was diagnosed with stage IV Fibrolamellar Carcinoma, an extremely rare form of liver cancer that affects young adults with otherwise healthy, functioning livers. Like many others with this cancer he did not have any symptoms and by the time it was caught it had already spread throughout the neighboring lymph nodes.
After receiving chemo for about three months he was able to have surgery in early 2015. He enjoyed about six months of cancer-free life until the cancer returned quickly and with a vengeance. He isn't a candidate for surgery and has been getting chemo every two weeks for the past year.
We consider ourselves blessed that Patrick remains strong enough to continue his fight every day. His most recent CT Scans shows that his current treatment plan is working and is shrinking his tumors!!! And, this is where you come in. Pat's family has exhausted our personal resources to offset the cost of his medicine and treatment copays not covered by his current health insurance.
To that end, we’ve started this Go Fund Me page in the hopes that his extended family and friends will join the fight for him to gain recovery. Patrick hasn’t given up, and neither should we.
Yours with love & gratitude,
Patrick, Ann-Marie, Charlie, Colleen and Pat
