Team Nenil on behalf of our beloved employee & friend, Nenil Mathurin.
The New Year of 2018 has not been kind to Nenil. Mid-month, Nenil found out that he not only had cancer, but he had cancer in many vital organs. This was shocking to Nenil, his family and his co-workers alike. Nenil had been the picture of good health!
Nenil, a valuable member of the Advanced Parking Concepts family since August of 2002, had managed many long-term accounts. After finding out his diagnosis, Nenil reported back to work without complaint. Despite having his health deteriorate, Nenil heroically continued to work until the end of January 2018, when his illness forced him to be hospitalized.
Champion is a word that comes to mind when describing Nenil. Nenil’s work ethic and compassion are legendary throughout Advanced Parking. In fact, as sick as he is, his first word upon seeing anybody is, “How are you doing?” Nenil represented APC in 5 out of 6 "Valet Olympics" held by the National Parking Association, including this past October. A great accomplishment for anyone and just amazing for a gentleman in his 50’s!
When asked how he seemed to make it look so effortless, Nenil just smiled and stated “I do what I have to do for APC.” Upon completion of that statement, Nenil always gave a warm smile followed by a handshake.
Nenil is a loving and dedicated father, but sadly his children do not live in the States. Fighting cancer is an expensive all-encompassing fight. During this battle, Nenil’s dream is to be surrounded by his children whose funds are limited. Cancer treatments, airfare and lodging are not affordable to his family members.
This is why his co-workers and business associates are rallying together, supporting Nenil with this GoFundMe Page.
