London's fight against AML

London's fight began long before it was diagnosed, having winter of 2014 full of sickness into summer of 2015 from RSV to pneumonia, a broken wrist and countless others including her not walking or eating. From one emergency room to another on June 16, (three days after her 2nd birthday) London was diagnosed with (AML) Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a very rare form of leukemia for children (the 20%). Two days later A New battle to fight cancer had begun with day one of chemo on June 18. London will be undergoing 4 ten day aggressive chemotherpy treatments spread over the next six months to a year including spinal taps and bone marrow biopsies. With follow-ups for the rest of her life.
Having a 7 year old brother who's to young to understand the sudden change in life and why mommy and his little sister live in the hospital is hard to explain. The anguish and fear of a baby diagnosed with cancer is unimaginable. Having to adjust our lives for an indefinate period of time and depending on the help of wonderful family and friends as we put all our energy, love, sweat, and determination in waging a battle against AML that threatens the life of our little girl. We will without doubt face tremendous financial struggle and emotional upheaval that no parent could prepare for or anticipate. We know the road is long but its the path we have to take, London is a very strong feisty little girl and she has everything it takes to win this battle.
