Norman was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on Tuesday May 20, 2014. We had just come back from having a great time as a family. Norman's leukemia presented as swollen lymphnodes in his face and the onset of the symptoms was incredibly fast. The picture I used for this page was taken May 14 and he had no symptoms at all. They said we caught it very early and his chemo has begun with good results.
Needless to say this was never expected. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. No child deserves to have to fight like this and no parent should ever have to watch their child go through this.
We are not ones to ask for help and it feels really awkward to even ask. We would like to raise a little for the "what ifs" of all this. To cover what insurance may not or time we are in and out of the hospital. What we don't use we are donating to the FAHC Baird 5 Pediatric Inpatient Unit and the Child Life Department who have become like our second family and have made this fight a little easier to handle.
