Meet Lathyn, he is a 6 year old boy ( The youngest of 4) who was living life as normal until one day (Jul 24th, 2014) he began to have seizures. After a long 48 hours of being in a coma, the doctors decided to wake him up. As tests and images were taken we learned that he has a stage 3 inoperable glioma in the center of his brain. When we started this journey we were told it was a marathon, we had NO idea just how long and grueling this journey would continue to be.
He has now undergone 32 weeks of chemo therapy, he is currently on a break from chemo but is watched closely and undergoes many tests to check his tumor and to monitor all side effects of his tumor as well as the chemo he has undergone. He is not eligible for surgery or radiation due to the shape and size of his tumor.
Our family travels 200 miles round trip for all Lathyns appointments. As you can imagine the bills surrouding his travel, treatment and care accumulating.
Because Lathyns Dad takes off work for every appointment Lathyn goes too, it can financially take its toll.
We are asking for you to partner with us, in prayer and financial support, as we fight along side our son.
Our ultimate goal is to be able to pay for expenses incurred during travel, to pay for basic living exspenses as needed, and to pay any medical bills not covered by insurance. more then anything else please pray for Lathyn!
Lathyn is a remarkable young boy, who knows no strangers, and loves people like Jesus would have him. He has a bright personality and a brighter future. The Lord has been good to our family and we are forever greatful.
