Team Kimi & Gavin

Allow me to introduce you to my sister Kimberly,  single parent to my nephew Gavin.   Kimi was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer (she was apparently jealous at all the attention my cancer diagnosis garnered in 2012, so had to go off and get some for herself)!!

Kimi was just released from the hospital following surgery to eradicate the nasty bad stuff.  I'm thrilled to share that her medical prognosis is great (cancer selected the wrong sisters to mess with.... we Gammon gals are Texas tough....). Unfortunately, though, her financial picture is going to be very challenging as she goes without any income or support for the next 8 weeks. I was extremely blessed to have short term disability coverage when I was sick, but Kimi does not. She is also faced with paying 100% of the cost of her medical insurance to maintain her coverage over the next 2 months, while she is on unpaid leave of absence. With her medical expenses mounting, a new car payment, normal bills and living expenses, raising Gavin as a single Mom, not to mention Christmas coming up, I want to rally the support of friends and family to help her stay afloat during this tough time. Any small donation will help - every dollar counts- and collectively will ensure her peace of mind as she recovers.
